From a little-known PlayStation-focused indie studio to the team that cleaned up the multiverse, FuturLab has come a long way over the past 15+ years. And for their latest trick, they've got to play with one of the biggest brands in the history of film and TV. Today, PowerWash Simulator 2 received its second crossover DLC, a trip into the slightly tarnished and yellowing world of Star Wars; Specifically, the nostalgic original trilogy.

With six missions spread across Hoth, Tatooine and beyond, there's a lot to clean up in locations that have been burned into the brains of an entire generation of geeks. Yes, you get to scrub down the Millennium Falcon, the Mos Eisley Cantina (there IS a lot of scum here, even when the villainy has moved out), the bridge of a Super Star Destroyer (what did they DO in here!?), and clean up a battle-scarred AT-AT walker.

That last one in particular seems like an especially vertical job, with lots of rappel gantries needed to get to all the important bits. It's nice to see FuturLab leaning into PowerWash Sim 2's new features for the DLC, taking advantage of the new tools. A good ladder will only get you so far, and definitely not where you need to be in space.

Needless to say, as with the prior Adventure Time-themed expansion, the Star Wars DLC is non-canon and not tied at all into the progression or story of the base game. Also similar to the Adventure Time DLC, FuturLab went to extra lengths to make your cleanup job feel authentic, even if you're firing soapy water instead of blaster bolts. The clean-suited protagonists are replaced with chunky ball-jointed P0-W2 class cleaning droids, armed with water guns themed to fit the chunky movie sets of the '70s and '80s.

The Star Wars pack for PowerWash Simulator 2 is out now for £8/$10, a little more than the previous Adventure Time DLC. You will, of course, need the base game as well, which costs £20/$25. No discounts this time, sorry!
