Topic: World of Warcraft --OT--

So my WoW journey began towards the middle of the original Lich King expansion. I was (am) a big TTRPG player however being a young adult at the time it was hard for my friends and I to meet up for weekly D&D games so a few of them started or where playing WoW. Long story short they talked me into it and I played untill just the end of Mists of Pandaria when my PC died. WoW ended up being one of my favorite games of all time. I got back into with the release of War With In, when I was able to get my current laptop sadly though Retail WoW just felt so different then the WoW I remembered. I then started playing Classic Anniversay where I am currently playing a level 40 Orc Warlock as well as waiting for the release of WoW Forever.

Personally, WoW has been around me a lot but I never really played. I remember watching a BUNCH of the Ventrilo/Teamspeak harassment videos back in the late 2000s when those were still being used. The closest I got back then was my mom buying me a vanilla box of WoW when you could still get it physically. I remember always waiting for "the perfect time" to start my 30 days. It ended up just staying sealed and lost in whatever crevasse in her house.

I've tried getting back into it a couple times. A small few times in private servers, then I mainly tried it out sometime during War Within, I think? I LOVE the aesthetic of WoW, both Retail and Classic, but I don't know if I'm either not an MMO person or a WoW person. I have some decent amount of time in both versions of the game, but it didn't grab me as much as I wanted to. It honestly might come down to not being in a clan, 'cause I think I would enjoy it more if I could talk to someone else as I was questing.

If money shakes out well, I might see about getting into WoW Forever. It seems like exactly what I wanted: The aesthetics and charm of Classic with the QoL of modern day.
