Build Your Own Celestial Civilisation from Scratch In Order: The New Dawn 1

Order: The New Dawn is a deep colony simulator with sprinkles of space exploration and travel where you take up the mantle of a legendary captain sucked into a long-lost, isolated star system whose last civilisation is long gone, set with the task of rebuilding the planets lost to space and time and creating a place for people to live and thrive.

Explore the vast region of space, discover derelict space wrecks, and explore the surfaces of unknown planets as you build colonies and farm for resources.

Space isn't all just empty space, however, as you can discover and explore dilapidated space facilities that hold potentially valuable loot to pocket for yourself (it doesn't seem like the owners need it anymore, put it that way), as well as build system-spanning megastructures and interstellar transportation networks across the galaxy, making things a lot easier for you and your colonists.

Speaking of colonists and their colonies, you can also make your way planetside to set up your own settlements on unexplored planets with biomes and weather ranging from flaming deserts to lush forests, frigid tundras, and everything in between. Build your bases on these vast expanses piece by piece, set up farms to aid in your interstellar efforts, and explore the planet's surface to discover its and the fallen civilisation's secrets. You can say you're short on options here.

Exploring and harnessing these mysterious planets' resources will provide you and your fellow colonists with the resources you need to survive, and each celestial body is ripe for harvesting; they will also grant you extreme power, giving you new technology and allowing further research into important things for your people.

With this power, however, comes great responsibility, as you can choose to better this fallen world, or you could instead choose to watch as it falls to pieces and plunges further into the depths of space; the fate of it all rests on you.

Are you brave enough to take on the challenge of building a civilisation up from scratch? If so, I would highly recommend Order: The New Dawn on Steam. Do keep in mind, despite having a planned release date of the 14th, the game seems to have been pushed back due to complications regarding Steam reviewing the game page. The developer states it should only be a 1-2 day wait, so keep your eyes peeled!
