The Knights of the Round Table, once the legendary bastions of virtue, have all fallen into corruption, leaving Camelot in ruins and even tainting the legacy of King Arthur himself – and as is so often the case when gnarly stuff like this happens, it falls to you, the hero, to restore and rebuild.

Wardens of Avalon is an epic RPG that mixes resource management, town building, and online co-op play to offer a welcome new take on the Arthurian legends of old. You take up the mantle of a member of the Twilight Knights, and your job is to gather the raw materials to restore Camelot to its former glory while defeating the evil hordes that have risen in the regrettable absence of Arthur's knights.

As the shattered Camelot is restored, you gain access to workshops and specialised buildings, including
blacksmiths, apothecaries, herborists and more. A complex crafting system lets you upgrade your gear, helping you stay better equipped when you venture into the wilderness to take down monsters.

Explore a wealth of "handcrafted environments", including ruins, forests, and "former bastions of the Knights of the Round Table." Legendary bosses await, and defeating them rewards you with special equipment.

The game utilises a "classless system" which allows you to change the build of your character as the situation dictates. "Use your hammer to strike and stun enemies, wear sacred armours to boost your firepower or assimilate corruption at your own risk to deal significant damage," the developer explains.

You can enjoy all this excitement solo or with up to three other players. "Form your own order with friends, manage your fiefdom together, defend it against enemy assaults and prove your worth in challenging encounters where teamwork and coordination are essential to achieve victory," the developer adds.

Wardens of Avalon is due for release in 2027, but the developer announced a playtest for October 14th. Request access now if you think you're up to the task of liberating Camelot.
