I have always loved a good relaxation game: Sky: Children Of The Light, Train Simulator Classic, Death Stranding (to a certain extent), so taking a look at Over The Hill brought a smile to my face.

What we have here is a game about, well, driving over the hill, but it is also much more than that. Get behind the wheel of iconic 4x4 vehicles you can customise as you roll through beautiful landscapes toward stunning horizons, alone or with a few friends.

Coming from the same team that gave us Art of Rally, Over The Hill takes you back to the "golden age of offroading" through the gold and green hills, the snow-capped Rocky Mountains, and everything in between. Take your time as you explore this world; it is full of secrets to uncover, with abandoned cabins, landmarks, changing weather, and much more that encourages exploration and discovery, so don't rush or you might miss something.

It isn't all sunshine and rainbows, though, because some situations will require quick thinking and clever solutions to make your way out, like using a plank to cross a gap or winching yourself up steep, difficult terrain. I think this is a great way to sprinkle in a few more engaging tasks; even though driving around may be fun, a good challenge every now and again can give you a sense of accomplishment.

Since you'll be spending a lot of time with your new chariot of adventure, you might want to customise it to your liking. Find upgrades throughout your journey and make your vehicle uniquely yours with livery customisation and the addition of trinkets and accessories; go wild and make your 4x4 stand out.

Throughout your adventure, you may also spot some local wildlife, or anything for that matter, that you can get a quick snap of with your camera; find a good sunset, an awesome bear, take a photo of it and add it to your compendium to build up an impressive selection of pictures from your journey. Nice.

If you want a game to sit back and relax, Over The Hill is the one for you. Grab your wheels on Steam for £17.99 on a 20% sale right now, or, if you missed it, the regular price is £22.49. Happy adventuring!
