Complexia, A Ballet Of Blades Is A Stunning Performance Of Sword And Style 1

On the brink of a planet's annihilation, Complexia thrusts you into a fast-paced warzone, armed with a sword and only the memories you need to use it. You are a complex being whose battles against each other can level mountains and create new oceans, and it is up to you to destroy the weapon of mass destruction aimed directly at the planet and eliminate the people behind it.

Hack and slash through hordes of foes, stringing combos together against punishing enemies that can fell you in a few blows; intentional and careful use of your sword is mandatory when slicing and dicing the opposition.

The swordplay in Complexia is complex and has many different branches that can be honed and mastered to mix up your playstyle and create devastating combos; this can be done through the 'Arsenal' menu. This lets you equip different attacks to build a style unique to you, from in-air attacks to combo extenders and finishers, giving you even more control over how you approach fights in an already swift, smooth combat system.

Along with the classic normal enemies we are all too familiar with, you can challenge towering bosses using your newfound fighting style, resulting in epic, cinematic fights that punctuate certain areas, helped by an amazing art style that feels like you are playing an anime episode.

As you move through the game with your shiny new character, you will find allies that will come to your aid in this war against the complete destruction of the world, but the story may not be exactly what it seems, as you might have to make choices that go against the goals of your allies.

This story is told through both in-game dialogue and in-game manga panels, which I think is a very cool approach and provides a nice change of pace from the relentless onslaught of attackers in the main gameplay loop.

If you don't want to see total planet annihilation – and want to wield a badass sword as a being strong enough to flatten mountains – then go and check out Complexia on Steam right now, either with the free demo or the 15% off full game for £10.61, instead of the usual £12.49.
