Endless Rails Rolls Out A Simple, Smooth, But Solid Rouguelike Experince For Fans Of The Genre And Trains Alike 1

Continuing on my recent streak of covering train games, Endless Rails is slightly different to the rest, being a roguelike isometric train defence game (something I have never heard of myself) that sees you upgrading your train and adding weapons and carriages that aid in your journey.

Said weaponry will auto-fire at any big-bad monsters coming your way as you speed up or slam on the brakes to narrowly evade a lethal attack. Not quite like the 10:15 to Chingford, then, but close.

Throughout the world, you will occasionally find stations between fights at which you can spend coins to get more carriages, weapons, slots to be filled by more drones, and much more to increase the power of your locomotive. You can also strengthen your power through the humble permanent upgrade tree, so every run brings you back stronger than the last.

As the title suggests, the rails in this game are endless, with no permanent stopping until you meet your demise, meaning there is a great opportunity to set and beat personal scores and compete with friends to see who can survive the longest.

Fans of trains (me) and fans of survivorslikes/roguelikes (also me) will love the look of this game, and if you are one of those people, then you can pick up Endless Rails on Steam for £6.29 – or if you strike while the iron is hot, you can purchase it at a nice 30% discount, making it £4.40.
