Vampire Survivors Meets Dungeons & Dragons In Hack-And-Slash RPG Shadow Dungeon

Shadow Dungeon takes classic RPG elements and mashes them together to create a chaotic yet weirdly fun and satisfying experience akin to the way that Vampire Survivors scratches my brain with its hordes of enemies and constant action, only deeper and a little more complex, with a coat of Dungeons & Dragons paint.

Shadow Dungeon is a 2D Action RPG that has many of the features you would usually expect from a game of its sort: extensive skill trees, upgrades, heaps of weapons, and much more you've heard and seen before. But where Shadow Dungeon really shines is its build variety, with there being 4 unique classes, 12 talent trees, and hundreds of skills that allow you to create a build that is specialised for you.

It isn't just skill and character variety either; Shadow Dungeon boasts, as the developer claims, "100,000,000" pieces of equipment, letting you mix and match countless weapons with different skills to tailor how you want to take on the dungeon, with many of them having skills that synergise with your talents and overall character build.

You can then use these new weapons and your custom character to explore the 160 maps and make your way through the 7-chapter main story while taking on the 60 unique bosses and holding off hordes of monsters made up of 200 different designs. This enemy variety is apparent right out of the gate and adds real depth to the experience from the start.

Overall, Shadow Dungeon is a great, extensive RPG with surprising depth in weaponry and character building alike, creating an addictive gameplay loop intertwined with chaotic hordes of Vampire Survivors-esque enemies that make for satisfying combat encounters.
