I have had my fair share of hilarious experiences on R.E.P.O., and I think it just might be one of the best games to play co-op with some mates.

There isn't really anything else that triggers the same howling laughter after doing something that may have just ruined the run, but also may have been one of the funniest things you had done in that run – and it looks like the team, Semiwork, aren't looking to stop those laughs coming anytime soon.

REPO has just been hit with a pretty substantial update, including a new map, gamepad support, rooms for old maps, new items and an enemy (of which the latter I think looks both unsettling and pretty amazing).

Let's start with the new map: Sunstone Valley Resort, a rocky, dusty old Wild West-like resort long abandoned by the people who went there, and now it is your job to go in and find the valuables that it holds. I think this map looks great and is a breath of fresh (or musty) air compared to the other maps in R.E.P.O.

Some smaller map changes are also in this patch, such as:

  • 5 new rooms for Headman Manor
  • 4 new rooms for Swiftbroom Academy
  • 4 new rooms for Museum of Human Art
  • 5 new rooms for Mc Jannek Station
  • New music track for Museum
  • Hold up items to the shopkeeper for a chance at a discount, or they may also be destroyed!
  • Shopping list of what is in the extraction point when in the shop
  • Mirror next to the cosmetic machine added
  • New Mega rooms

These changes come with a couple of new items in this update, being:

  • Human gun
  • Human adventure cable
  • Recharge orb

And now, the moment you have all been waiting for: the new enemy... The Horse!

The horse is a new enemy added in this update and looks... well... kind of like a horse? I personally think he looks slightly cute, but he also makes me very uncomfortable. I am interested to see what other people have to say about our new "friend".

If you have perhaps taken a break from R.E.P.O. recently (I admit I have), then I think now might be the best time to jump back in – and if you haven't played before, then I think the same applies, so go check out R.E.P.O. on Steam for 35% off, making it £5.19 rather than the usual £7.99.
