Now, if you are similar to me when it comes to games, like feeling the need to meticulously cover every inch of the floor in Splatoon without leaving gaps and getting easily sidetracked by it, then a cleaning game as in-depth as Cozy Game Restoration could be just what you are looking for to fulfil your need to obsess over the little details.

What we have here is a cleaning game that lets you utilise a whole bunch of satisfying utensils to bring long-forgotten game cartridges back to their former glory, peeling satisfying stickers, scrubbing off adhesive, wiping off any unwanted writing or drawings, carefully removing scratches, and more – all of which require a different approach to remove and restore, needing different tools to be used to get a desired result.

Each sticker pull and adhesive removal is designed to be satisfying and engineered to feel real, physical, and tactile, giving you the best experience possible while meeting your cleaning needs. Each cartridge is also "procedurally dirtied", meaning that each clean will feel new, helping avoid repetitiveness and increase replayability.

It isn't just the cartridges that are satisfying to interact with either; the boxes they come in need to be carefully opened, peeling away stickers, labels, and tape to eventually reach the prize inside, which is a randomised game of over 108 distinct titles inspired by the classic '80s- 2000s golden age of gaming.

These cartridges also have rarity attached, with different regional variants, colourways, and alternate sticker art, and gold or rarer cartridges even available to add to your collection.

Complete quests as you go about your cleaning journey, and, alongside the in-game calendar, take on collection tasks due by a certain date that reward you with small collectables you can place around your room, making it unique and exactly what you want it to be.

If you are looking for a game to unwind and relax with this week, then I simply don't think there is a better option than Cozy Game Restoration (especially with the free demo out, too).
