I will say, in social VR spaces like VRChat, the eagerness for this thing has been massive for months. Everybody there wants this. Our Facebook headsets are aging & breaking down, their OS is horrid, and we don't like Facebook to begin with. The ability to feel like you're in the same room with others around the world is, by itself, worth the cost for a lot of people.
