They don’t have to announce it, people don’t have to buy it. Seems fair. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I may make a Steam account just for this demo, not joking. 😁

Oh, and if you’re wondering how a gamer doesn’t have a Steam account in 2026, well I had 1 long ago when it first started, but at some point my little kid started playing PC games more than me but I never bothered to set them up an account so they just sort of took it over a few years back.

So if you see rjejr on Steam that’s my kid, not me. Unless they finally figured out how to change the name. We tried for a few years but they wouldn’t let us.

Also just bought my first Mini PC, an AMD R5 Ryzen with Vega 8 graphics, curious if it will run anything game related at all. I don’t game on PC, bought it for watching sports on my tv. Great at that. Probably won’t game with Win 11 eating up the 8GB on RAM though. I haven’t gotten around to installing Mint Linux on it yet.

Will probably get this for real on PS5 someday. We used to own it on GameCube back in the day but I gave the game and my Cube to my nephew when we got a Wii. Probably should’ve kept the game.

@MontyCircus Thanks. Maybe they’ll take your comment under consideration b/c you spelled it favour. I’m a ‘Merican, even I don’t want to listen to anything I have to say anymore. 😝

@RTGX At this point, after reading confusing article titles for like 16 years, I’m willing to forego some proper punctuation to be able to figure out what it is I’m reading on the first try. I’m just offering them an out, 1 comma instead of 4 quotes, b/c I’m nice like that. 😁

I know you folk at Hookshot are opposed to putting “quotes” around your game “Titles” but maybe this article title could have at least had a comma, after Build. I had to read the title like 5 times. I suppose it was unfortunate both game titles had colons: but still. 😁

@antdickens Ok so I followed SH on BS where you’ve already passed 1k so congrats on that. Twitter where you’re only at 63 which is weird b/c that seems much more a gamer place to me than BS but I’m happy for you b/c Twitter is evil. And I think I was 6th or 16th on IG, maybe the underscore is slowing you down, but that’s ok no one is going on IG for anything other than Sammy’s booth babe photos. 😂

Thinks that everything for me. Good luck.

@antdickens Just thought I’d let you know your reply came through ok. I’m guessing my email program was smart enough to figure it out after I told it the last one wasn’t spam.

Oh and I commented on an article on the site, found my way there from the partner link at the bottom of the page. I didn’t really have much to say but I always feel bad for the writers having 0 or 1 comments. I was basically the only person commenting on Sammy’s site for about a year before you merged the sites and things picked up on PS.

So, you promoting this place on social media? I’m not on Twitter much anymore but I can go give you a follow and a shout out, can’t hurt. I’m mostly on Bluesky and Instagram. I suppose I can go look you up on my own.

I was thinking about giving this 1 a try, don’t play Pokemon, currently playing Infinity Nikki and NTE, but I read there’s so much stuff going on the opening 2-3 hours is just tutorial. So I think I’m going to pass on this one while I wait for ANANANTA in January.

@antdickens Just wanted to let you know I was just going through my spam folder and had a reply from here - steamhype - in the spam folder. Probably just b/c the site is new but I thought I’d let you know in case there’s something on your end. Never had a reply email from NL or PS in spam before, not even early on.

I told my email program - yahoo app on iPad - it wasn’t spam so it moved it over. I’ll let you know if it happens again if I find my way to the site.

Not a fan of the name but I suppose Valve owns all the good ones. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Will all of Sammy’s port begging for gacha game articles wind up here? 😂 (You guys really should give Sammy his own gacha game site next. 😁)

I guess my biggest concern about this place, the comments become all about whose console of choice deserves a game more. Though I suppose if it’s only the PC master race visiting the place that won’t become a problem.

My PC gaming days are behind me, and console maybe not to far behind, but good luck to you guys, the world needs some decent competition to IGN and you guys have always run a family friendly ship. 🍾
