Ecstatica II News
Out Now Ecstatica, the Nightmarish Ellipsoid-Based Action Horror, Is Resurrected on Steam
Along with its 1996 sequel
About The Game
Ecstatica II is a dark fantasy action-adventure set in a one-of-a-kind world built from ellipsoids. Return as a prince to a kingdom sacked by demons under a blood-red sky. Cast spells and trade blows to restore the shattered Elder Sign and free the sorceress Ecstatica.
RESCUE ECSTATICA
You saved Ecstatica from Tirich and brought her home, expecting a hero’s welcome. Instead, demons crawl through your castle, your lands lie in ruin and the Archmage sits on your throne. And Ecstatica is gone. No army is coming. It’s just you, whatever weapon you can grab, and one goal: take back your kingdom and rescue the sorceress.
Welcome to a world of magic, mysterious traps and diabolical danger, graphical glory and fast, fiendish gameplay. Your desperate struggle against the forces of chaos will pit you against a relentless enemy onslaught; you'll need wits, cunning and expert swordsmanship to defeat the evil nemeses. Let's hope you don't pass out at the sight of blood.
BIGGER, BLOODIER, STILL ROUND
The one-of-a-kind ellipsoid world returns larger and more detailed. Explore a castle and its surroundings, with richer animation, more brutal and physical combat, and the same eerie, rounded beauty that set the original apart from every polygon game of its era.
RELIVE IT LIKE NEVER BEFORE
First released in 1997, Ecstatica II is the ambitious sequel to one of gaming’s most unusual horror adventures. It’s now available digitally for the first time, with a full set of enhancements. It runs smoothly on current systems, adds full controller support, and lets you switch between graphics modes, from the original look to modern high-resolution rendering.
