Hot Wheels has had a great run with games from Milestone S.r.l., as the Hot Wheels Unleashed franchise has performed surprisingly well and earned strong support from many players who gave it a shot. With the release of Hot Wheels Infinite Rush being less than 24 hours away, fans of the franchise should make sure they've got their racing leathers in tip-top condition.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush takes all of Milestone S.r.l.'s experience with the previous two Hot Wheels Unleashed games and improves on it with new worlds and mechanics to play around with. Four different islands are packed with events and challenges, each with a substantial area to race around, and the new and improved track builder lets you navigate these landscapes with ease and create your own tracks as you go.
Each of the islands is home to a Rush Master, a boss who, after completing events to unlock their challenge, can be beaten to claim their car and title. Once they are all defeated, only you will be crowned as the ultimate Rush Master.
To do this, however, you will need to choose a car carefully from the four archetypes: all-round Versatiles, Smooth Drifters, Hulking Titans, and Rapid Speeders, each one having a unique racing style that impacts how you traverse and race on the islands, and is fully customisable.
With over 150 vehicles, you will have a hard time running out of ways to experiment. You can then take all of your prized cars into multiplayer and show off your skills (or miserably fail) in online races, with leaderboards and crossplay (apart from Switch 2 – sorry, Nintendo fans)
If you are looking for a fast-paced, lighthearted, enjoyable racing game with plenty of content and customisation, I'd recommend checking out Hot Wheels Infinite Rush when it drops on Steam tomorrow for £44.99. The deluxe edition costs £69.99 and the ultimate edition costs £89.99.
Note that these prices come from the Xbox store, as they aren't on Steam yet.
