With only seven hours left in the Steam sale, we're coming at you with one final roundup, and this time, we've cut the brakes. We're diving into some of the strangest, most psychedelic experiences you can get legally (and on Steam), and almost all at steep discounts. As ever, check out the rest of our picks over on our Autumn Sale 2026 Hub, but for now we advise you to buckle up - we're flying blind here:

Fuck's Quest II PC

40% Discount - No, wait, hear me out! Fuck's Quest II is a good game. No, really. It's also really smart. It's just ingeniously disguised as the dumbest thing that you have ever witnessed in your entire life. What you're getting here is a shockingly well-tuned and designed classic Zelda-like adventure where you play as a little guy named Fuck, set in a world that is 90% fart and piss and boner jokes by weight. Despite being crude as you can get, there's nothing offensive here. This is equal opportunity idiocy, laughing at its own inanity and not at anyone in particular. Expect some genuinely funny, chaotic, incongruous voice lines burbling out of absurdly named characters, and nothing can prepare you for the lockpicking minigame.

Salamander County Public Television PC

75% Discount - We're continuing to be very silly with it here - this is an entire game constructed out of random archive footage and shutterstock photos. A chaotic, surreal comedy journey about producing public access TV on a shoestring budget, and that means playing ridiculous minigames! Inflate balloon animals to exactly the right length! Launch an orange downrange with the perfect twist of a banana! Find out how far a car can drive on mushroom slices for wheels! All tied together with a genuinely well-written, absurd story told almost entirely through your in-office work chat software.

Abyss Veil PC

47% Discount - Punk spirit is having something to say and just doing it, loudly, whether or not you can keep perfect pitch or even play a guitar. Abyss Veil–currently in early access but already a lengthy 8+ hour story–is punk as hell. A grand anime-inspired sci-fi psychodrama epic following a band of teenage dirtbags (or, rather their fragmented emotional memories) as they get drawn into a politically messy Forever War between Earth and Mars. It features twitchy FPS combat, fast mech battles and the occasional third-person survival horror segment, chained together with a lot of dialogue. The art is MSpaint-ish, and the writing often raw and unpolished, but there is something special here, with honestly excellent world-building and big concepts explored. I am desperate to see where the story goes beyond this point.

Golden Light PC

80% Discount - Everything is meat. You are meat. The walls are meat (try breaking them down and see!), and your weapons are meat. Getting hungry? Eat your gun. You find an axe with a healing buff? Useless to use in combat, but smash yourself in the face with it to recover. Oh, and EVERYTHING could be an enemy, with random pieces of furniture likely to come to life and take a swing at you. Golden Light is a queasy, paranoid first-person survival horror roguelike. Like stumbling around Silent Hill on a very bad trip. It's a true nightmare. There's a Very Weird Western spinoff in the works, too - Golden Chambers (also 80% off) - and the developer just rolled out a demo for SUPERPANEL, a co-op extraction shooter with similar energy.

Who's Hungry? PC

77% Discount - A short and savory surreal horror RPG about delivering food in the middle of the apocalypse. Robots have wiped out most humans, but people still want takeout, so off your friendly delivery drone-bot goes into the bowels of a seemingly endless megastructure to get the job done. Frequently funny, sometimes depressing and always weird, the chaotic world here is depicted as a mash-up of overly compressed tiled sprites and unusual scribbles, with the enemies you'll fight (with a unique binary coin-flip battle system) being an especially strange bunch. Great stuff.

PRODUCER 2021 PC

69% Discount - What happens when you leave a NES-style graphic adventure at the bottom of a rusted dumpster, marinating in slime for decades? I don't want to know, but the answer probably looks like this. A multi-route adventure about being a Producer for a Corporate Entity. What does a producer do? Nobody knows. What does the company do? Products, and maybe services! Why are computers made of parasitic worms? Because that's PROGRESS, baby! While not long for a single playthrough, this one has multiple routes, solutions and endings to dig through, growing increasingly unsettling as you mentally map out more of this crumbling world.

Xross Dreams PC

50% Discount - Do you like versus puzzle games? Do you like ALL the versus puzzle games?? Can you play two of them simultaneously?!? Xross Dreams is a mechanically, thematically and visually unhinged versus puzzle fighter where each character is playing a different game, and you tag-team between them. Like Puyo Puyo Tetris, if your other player just happens to be playing Puzzle Bobble Columns. The low-fi scribbly art is weird, the many story modes are even weirder (but at least there's a dog-petting minigame) and the learning curve is steep, but mastering this game feels like a flex, and a showcase of how far you can split your brain's hemispheres.

24 Killers PC

60% Discount - You are an alien ghost, possessing the body of a dead human soldier. A cosmic octopus has said it will help you, but only if you can run a PR campaign for the island you're on. How do you go about doing that? Meeting strange new monster-people, befriending them, completing minigames for them and then taking friendship selfies, of course. And then transforming into them to gain their powers. While inspired by the surreal works of Japanese studio Love-de-Lic (who made Moon: Remix RPG Adventure), this game marches to the beat of its own drum.

Mythical Concept STARNAUT PC

90% Discount - What happens when the developers behind unhinged religious character action game El Shaddai make a Vampire Survivors-like? An experience like nothing else. Rather than just trying to hold out, there's an almost puzzle-platformer angle to this, as you auto-blast your way through hordes of weird enemies while trying to complete objectives around huge, vertical 3D levels, piecing together a fragmented story as you go. I've yet to dig deep enough to confirm it, but I've heard this also ties into El Shaddai's story, somehow, and even did an official Vampire Survivors crossover stage. This one's normally a bit overpriced IMO, but at 90% off? A no-brainer.

Extreme Evolution: Drive to Divinity PC

35% Discount - And we wrap up the Steam Sale with a relatively small discount on one of the most powerfully weird games ever, which I can only loosely describe as 'Biblically Accurate Monkey Ball' - a 3D exploration platformer and experimental art-piece. Set in a non-linear expanse of visually pulverizing interconnected worlds, you seek apotheosis. As you travel, you gain power, which allows you to shapeshift into increasingly complex forms. Starting with stuff like a simple ball or oval, then into cars and humanoids, and then more esoteric creatures that can delete parts of the world or move through perception alone. And as strange and framented as it all looks, it works.

And there we have it! But wait: THERE'S MORE! Once again, here's a barrage of last-minute suggestions that didn't quite make the final cut:

And there we have it. Check out the rest of our sale coverage on our August 2026 Sales Hub here, and move fast - the Steam sale ends today at 6pm GMT/10AM PT!
