Dominic has always been an avid proponent for independent games development, and a fan of all things fringe, unusual and undersung in video games. Now heading up Steam Hype as the site's lead staff writer, he hopes to shine a spotlight on a more hopeful, open future for PC games and the medium as a whole.

Experience
Starting as an unpaid contributor to several emulation-focused fan-sites (including Shmups.com), Dominic's first professional writing position was at the now-defunct XBoxHornet in 2009, covering Xbox Live Indie Games releases. He has since written for DIYGamer, Indie Statik, Indie Game Magazine, Gamefront, PCGamesN, Kotaku and more, including several years as news-writer for Rock Paper Shotgun. Recently, he has been a regular reviewer and modding feature writer for the print version of PC Gamer Magazine, and a semi-regular news writer for the online version.
Dominic has also worked on the other side of the fence, doing indie game promotional work for Vicarious PR and White Label PR, including heading up some high-profile accounts like the launch-window PR for high-budget mobile hit (now on PC) Punishing: Gray Raven. He also has several credits on Mobygames for playtesting, feedback and script cleanup across multiple games. He has also provided several indie studios (including developers Trese Brothers and indie publisher Firesquid) direct PR support as a freelance contractor.
